Finally! The year 2020 is behind us. I know like the rest of you, I was looking towards a new year and a new attitude. Out with the old – in with the new. Then BANG! 

The literal shot heard around the world. Sadly, a woman lost her life during the protests at the D.C. Capitol building. And our thoughts and prayers go out to her family. However we thought 2021 would end up, this is not it. I know I’m angry. I know many other people are angry. A lot of people are pointing fingers. I’m not writing this to point fingers, except maybe I am. These events remind us that we live in a fallen world.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

EPH 6:12

As Pastor Anvil has said in the past, we are in a spiritual war. Life isn’t about who has the most ‘toys’ when they die. It’s about how well is your soul. Satan has one job on this earth. That job is to win your soul. Only you can give it to him. So, be well in your soul.

We cannot change Satan’s job, but we can make it harder. As a follower of Christ, we can share His light.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

I spoke earlier of pointing a finger, but we all know whose finger was stirring the pot in D.C.
